The proposed improvements include three components: (1) a 2.7-million-gallon thermal energy storage tank, (2) a satellite chiller plant with an initial cooling capacity of 4,000 tons per hour, and (3) pipeline extensions to interconnect the new chilled water facilities with existing chilled water facilities and future campus buildings. Future improvements include a second 2.7-million-gallon tank and an additional 4,000 gallons of chiller capacity.
