Document Description
The objectives of the project are the replacement of the existing outfall at the CMC Wastewater Treatment Plant and the significant reduction of streambank erosion within the immediately adjacent areas of Chorro Creek. The replacement of the outfall would prevent the potential catastrophic failure of the structure by providing a structure that would halt the erosion and undermining of the current facility by high velocity flows and the daily release of effluent. The design and operation of the facilities have been discussed with applicable regulatory agencices, and measures to minize potential effects upon the environment have been incorporated into the project description. The outfall would continue to discharge effluent that would meet State and federal standards.
