Document Description
Orange County Sanitation District will construct a new wastewater pump station (PS) on a currently private-owned vacant lot, located at 1514 West Balboa Boulevard in the City of Newport Beach, CA. The facility will replace the existing 14th Street Pump Station previously scheduled to be rehabilitated. However, a recent engineering study revealed that the existing structure could not be adequately rehabilitated to meet current design standards and/or regulatory requirements (National and State codes). The existing below-grade 14th Street Pump Station will be abandoned in place, and decommissioned upon startup of the new pump station.
