Document Description
The applicant proposes to operate a family water business, Damm Softwater Service, from an existing 4,500 square foot steel building at 3016 A Cienega Road, Hollister, CA. Business operation includes all types of water conditioning equipment for sale or rent. The proposal includes expansion of a bottled drinking water service to include on-site bottling of spring water. Water to be bottled will be purchased from a state approved water distributor and stored on-site in a 10,000-gallon state certified tank to be installed as part of the project. Water for employee use and the bottle washing process would be pumped from the on-site well and stored in the existing 5,000-gallon tank. Wastewater resulting from the washing process would be re-circulated prior to discharging on a monthly basis. Wastewater will be discharged into an existing septic system and leach field approved for this use.
