Document Description
The District proposes to construct a new middle school to accommodate expected growth in student enrollment and relieve overcrowding at Fair, Oxnard, Vaughn, and Victory Middle Schools. The project would provide 1,629 two-semester seats, accommodating 2,281 students in the 6th through 8th grades. The facilities would include approximately 160,597 square feet of building space, including: 67 classrooms, with nine special education classrooms and two set-aside classrooms; performing arts/music facilities; a library/multi-media center; student store; health offices; food services; multi-purpose facilities; gymnasium; and appurtenant facilities. Athletic facilities would include a baseball field, softball diamond, soccer field, handball courts, and basketball/volleyball courts.
