Document Description
The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) proposes to undertake the acquisition of approximately 4.2 acres of predominantly undeveloped property located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Park Avenue and Nevada Street, at 26900 and 26988 West Park Avenue, for the purpose of constructing the proposed Redlands Early Education Center, a special education preschool. The project is proposed to be seven classrooms, totaling approximately 16,000 square feet. The project contemplates construction of classroom facilities organized in single-story buildings with covered walkways and fencing. Facilities to be constructed include classrooms for up to 90 preschool students ages three months through pre-kindergarten; multi-purpose room; parking facilities for visitors and staff; parent loading/drop-off area; bus loading/ drop-off area and hardscape/turf playfields. Lighting includes low level security lighting, signage lighting, and illumination of the surface parking lot and associated pedestrian areas.
