Document Description
The applicant proposes a temporary 6-inch to 12-inch culvert 20-feet long to be installed within a seasonally-flowing unnamed tributary to the Russian River for log skidding. Approximately 80 square feet within the stream channel will be disturbed. Approximately 10 cubic yards of material will be placed over the top of the culvert to provide adequate compaction. A D-6 or D-7 tractor will be used for the crossing construction. Upon removal of the temporary culvert and fill material following log skidding, the stream channel will be dipped out. The approaches to the stream channel for a distance of 100 feet on each side of the channel will be grass seeded with 25 pounds per acre of annual rye grass and straw mulched to a depth 4 inches with 90% coverage. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement 2001-0878, pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Glenn T. Edwards, GTE & Associates.
