The project operator proposes to install fiber optics cable underneath waters of the State via directional boring below a tributary to Salinas River in Monterey County, identified as the Hames Creek Emergency Bore, and to use an existing low-water crossing for construction traffic. The California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number R3-2001-0780 pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project operator, Kevin Lorenzini/AT&T Corporation.
