Document Description
The Operator proposes to alter the streambed by manually removing invasive species consisting of, but not limited to, Russian thistle (Salsola tragus), Mexican fan palm (Washingtonia robusta), giant creek nettle (Urtica diolca), coklebur (Xenthium stumarium), castor bean (Ricinus communis), and non-native grape from within an approximately 0.51-acre portion of Sycamore (east) and North (east and west) channels, within the Rose Hills Company property located off of the 605 freeway in Whittier, California. The purpose of this project is to restore channel design and storm flow capacity through an annual Channel Maintenance Plan. Maintenance activities are limited to above ground clearing of invasive vegetation and shall be conducted by hand crews, followed by a foliar spray with herbicide Rodeo.
