Document Description
Install a pilot UV disinfection system in the wastewater treatment plant at Big Basin Redwoods State Park and conduct a six-month study of the system's effectiveness, compared to the existing chlorine contact chamber/sulfur dioxide extraction treatment system. UV system will be installed on top of the existing system and effluent will still be routed through the chlorine contact chamber after being processed by the UV system, to guarantee no change in effluent quality during the study period. No excavation is necessary for installation of the UV system.
