Document Description
The project creates a 25-foot wide dirt and gravel crossing over an unnamed intermittent creek on the Silverado Suscol Vineyard parcel (APN 046-400-033) to allow access to other portions of the property. Between April 15 and October 15, while the creek is dry and not supporting aquatic wildlife, an excavator will remove bed material to facilitate the placement of a 60-inch corrugated steel culvert in the creekbed. Heavy equipment, such as the excavator, will operate on upland areas adjacent to the bank. The work area is limited to 20 feet on either side of the crossing. No work shall be done, nor material stored, within the wetlands area adjacent to the crossing site. The culvert will be placed 4 inches below the grade to allow for unimpeded flow and native bed material will be placed inside the culvert to recreate a natural creek bottom. The culvert will be covered with three feet of fill, and bordered with fill and gravel on each side for a total width of 56 feet at the approaches to the crossing. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0765 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
