Document Description
The operator proposes to extract gravel from a gravel bar in Snell Creek located at the junction of Snell Valley Road and Stage Coach Road in Pope Valley, Napa County. The gravel bar is approximately 100 feet long and 45 feet wide. Approximately 18 to 24 inches of gravel will be extracted and transported to the residence at 2412 Stage Coach Road. The gravel will be spread on the road and used as a base for all weather access. The gravel wil be extracted by a small front end loader and loaded into a five yard dump truck to be transported to the disposal site. No vegetation will be impacted by the project and the gravel bar will be leveled after the extraction is completed. The bar shall remain higher than the channel bottom and continue to function as a gravel bar to minimize the change in hydrology of the Creek. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0845 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
