Document Description
The operator proposes to install clean river rock under and around a 12-inch water line in Arroyo de la Laguna in Sunol, Alameda County, Assessor's Parcel Numbers 96-376 and 96-155. The sole water line for the City of Sunol is encased in concrete, which was originally put below grade, but has degraded over the last several years. The concrete casing is exposed and has been undercut by approximately three feet of Arroyo de la Laguna. Approximately 50 cubic yards of clean 12-inch creek cobble will be transported from the staging area, by means of a plastic pipe shoot, and will be placed by hand to fill the existing void created by the undercutting. Filter fabric shall be placed between layers of rock to help promote sedimentation and aggradation in front of the concrete encasement. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0810 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1601.
