Document Description
Repair entrance road at Russian Gulch State Park to protect visitor safety, protect drainage, and improve park experience. Repave existing entrance road from ranger station to campground with asphalt concrete and pavement reinforcement fabric, within existing footprint. Install curb on outboard side of road, raise manholes to new grade, and restripe road and recreation hall parking lot. Repair existing retaining wall, replacing horizontal timbers and installing new backfill material as necessary. Remove, repair/reconstruct, and reinstall existing guardrail; new post holes will be adjacent to, but offset from, existing footprint for stability. Old post holes will be filled with compacted granular material. Install 50 feet of additional guardrail to provide needed level of safety. Barriers will be in place during all excavation, to prevent construction materials or soil from entering creek. All construction staging will be restricted to existing paved surfaces.
