Document Description
Replace an existing combination toilet/shower building at Agate Campground in Patrick's Point State Park to provide improved visitor facilities and ADA access. New combo building will be somewhat larger than existing facility to comply with current building codes and ADA requirements, and will be placed over existing footprint to minimize impact of larger structure. A new septic system will be installed; existing propane tank will be replaced at current location. Parking lot will be resurfaced and restriped to accommodate ADA requirements. Walkways will occupy approximately the same footprint as existing walkways; all areas have been disturbed by previous development. Services (electrical, water, and telephone) will hook up from existing facilities; trenching will be limited to previously disturbed areas. Work will be completed during the off season, with campground closed as necessary for public safety; impact to visitors should be minimal. Site grading will only occur from October 15 to April 15 (rainy season) to minimize dust (unless soil measure content allows).
