Document Description
The proposed project will involve the drilling of one 200 foot monitoring well. The well will be drilled using a large truck-mounted rotary drilling rig equipped with a mud pump. Drilling will occur October through December. The well will be drilled during daylight hours only. Additional support vehicles including a water tender, front end loader, pipe truck, and pickup trucks will be parked on site. The drilling rig and associated equipment will occupy an area of approximately 100 feet by 50 feet. Access for these vehicles will be directly off the adjacent paved roads. No improvements for site access will be required. With land owner's permission all drill wastes (rock cuttings and inert bentonite clay) produced during drilling will be covered over and left on site upon well completion. The surface completion will consist of a corrugated steel pipe approximately three feet high on a three foot square concrete pad and protected with four steel crash posts.
