Document Description
The Purpose of this project is to develop energy efficent metal melting methods and operating procedures for the metal casting industry in California. Metal melting accounts for 55% of the energy used in a metal casting facility and the current energy crisis has significantly impacted the industry. These methods and procedures will be developed quickly for use by metal casters in the summer of 2001 and beyond.
