Document Description
Structural modifications to foundation and floor of Historic Residence #10 at Mount Diablo State Park, to correct impacts of differential settlement. One side of house will be raised several inches and reattached to a new, taller plate. Boring of 3-4 holes adjacent to structure will be necessary, prior to commencement of work, to determine geotechnical specifications. Minor modifications to the wood siding will also be needed in area of repairs. Although structure is over 50 years old, it does not qualify as historically significant under current California State Register criteria. However, building is still an integral component of post WWII building landscape at Mount Diablo State Park; therefore, materials will be replaced in-kind or to match existing appearance.
