As described in a Removal Action Workplan, Roy F. Weston, Inc. (Weston) will excavate and remove ordnance and explosives (O&E) from dredge pond berms and outfall areas located on the western side of the former Mare Island Naval Station. O&E is generally defined as items or explosive constituents known or suspected to contain energetic material representing a potential physical hazard to site workers.
