The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) along with the City of Moorpark proposes to widen State Route 118 (SR-118) along Los Angeles Avenue between Moorpark Avenue and Spring Road, from 4 to 6 lanes. The City is in the east-central portion of Ventura County and west of Simi where SR-118 and SR-23 converge and overlaps with unincorporated areas in Ventura County. The widening would improve safety on SR-118 along Los Angeles Avenue.
