Document Description
The purpose of the proposed redevelopment project will be to revitalize the area through new commercial, industrial and residential neighborhoods and preserve/reuse cultural resources, and to eliminate various conditions of blight that have been identified within the proposed project area. Redevelopment actions to be taken could include land assembly, technical assistance, financial assistance, owner participation agreements, disposition and development agreements as well as funding specific improvements to infrastructure and community services. The redevelopment plan for the area proposes that the CRA have eminent domain authority in commercial areas only (where no residences would be displaced).
