Document Description
The park is intended to provide recreational opportunities for the entire City community. The exact development plans for the park have not been finalized at this time; however, the following features would most likely be included, but not be limited to: Parking lot, softball, football, soccer playing fields; Bathroom facilities; Picnic areas; "Band shell" for small outdoor related performances; and Children's play area. The 11.31-acre Central Property of the project site was dedicated as part of the Meadow Ridge Subdivision in 1996. Two additional parcels totaling approximately 3.02 acres adjacent to and west of the central parcel were offered for dedication at that time. In addition, all or part of the approximately 25.35-acre East Property may ultimately be available for use complementary to a park on the Central Property. As a result, all three Properties will be considered as the project site in discussing park feasibility and any potential recommended mitigation. The park will likely be developed in phases to address environmental constraints and the nature of available funding for the project.
