Document Description
The applicant proposes the project which is located on Kings Creek in Santa Cruz County, T8S, R2W, section 31, USGS Castle Rock Ridge 7.5 minute Quadrangle. The project includes installation and subsequent removal of two 18-inch diameter CMP culverts and several cubic yards of clean gravel. It is about eight air miles northeast of the town of Boulder Creek adjacent to Kings Creek Road. The proposed crossing is about 2.8 miles east of State Highway 9, adjacent to Kings Creek Road. The project is proposed to provide access to the harvest area for THP 1-98-385 SCR to allow completion od operations. Two twenty foot-long culverts will be placed together in the stream channel at the head of a riffle and covered with several yards of gravel to provide a running surface for hauling timber. The California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement R3-2001-0548, pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Mr. Patrick Emmert.
