The object of this project is to remove the contaminated soils so that the residual C-PAHs in soil, if any, will be reduced to the average concentration of background soil in southern California. The initial excavation target for C-PAHs is 0.9 mg/kg, based on the benzo(a)pyrene (B(a)P) potency equivalency factor (PEF).
