DHS has determined that the construction and operation of the well are categorically exempt under Class 2 exemption, pursuant to CCR, Title 22, Section 60101 (b)(3) and Title 22, Section 15302. The construction and operation of the pump is also categorically exempt under Title 14, Section 15303 9e). The construction and use of the small building to house the well is exempt as the new construction of a small structure, Title 14, Section 15303 9c), because the floor area is less than 2500 square feet.
