Document Description
Monterey County Bridge No. 420 was washed out during flood waters in early 1997. The bridge serves only a few residences located on Lewis Creek Road. The purpose of this project is to reconstruct the disaster damaged bridge. The project includes work to construct a replacement bridge over Lewis Creek, as well as road work at the approaches to the replacement bridge. The replacement bridge will be a two-span continuous steel girder ridge with a concrete deck. The road work includes mainly earthwork, placing aggregate base and asphalt concrete surfacing. Issuance of Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0325 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1601.
