Document Description
Applicant proposes to stabilize an eroding stream bank within the lower reach of Sulpher Creek by re-contouring to a 2:1 slope the eroding stream bank and revegetation work to stabilize the eroding bank. A temporary stream crossing may be required to conduct the stabilization work, and, if necessary, will include the installation of a temporary culvert to allow for fish passage. This project will include removal of some of the depositional material that has formed within the channel in the lower reach of Sulphur Creek. The applicant seeks to use the spoils of this project for road maintenance. In addition, under this application, the applicant seeks to continue maintenance of an existing dam on the property. Presently the dam is impacted with 20 feet of aggregate which has accumulated behind the dam. The applicant proposes the remove this material to conduct maintenance on the subterranean pipeline and outlet works of the dam. The applicant seeks to use the spoils removed from conducting the maintenance work of the dam for road maintenance. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2000-1164 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
