Document Description
Tehama County and the City of Red Bluff, as the owners of the Landfill, acquired 76 acres of land immediately adjacent to the existing Landfill to expand the facility to approximately 159.6 acres. In conjunction with this land acquisition, Green Waste of Tehama (contract operators) developed plans and constructed a Material Recovery Facility (MRF), composting operation , Household Hazardous Waste facility (ABOP-antifreeze, batteries, oils and paints), and sediment control ponds on the additionally acquired land. The additional land, and the facility operations must be approved by the appropriate regulatory agencies before they can be operated at the site. The incoming waste volume at the site currently ranges from 5 tons per day (tpd) to over 585 tpd, averaging approximately 137 tpd.
