In accordance with Health and Safety Code (HSC) section 25201.6, a Series B Standardized Permit is to be granted by the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) to Romic Environmental Technologies Corporation (Romic) for the operation of a hazardous waste rail transfer/storage facility. Romic proposes to operate a non-Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (non-RCRA) hazardous waste transfer facility in San Mateo County, California, to store and transfer a variety of hazardous wastes, predominately solvents. Liquid hazardous wastes with the same Department of Transportation (DOT) shipping description are to be transfered between tanker trucks and rail cars under the federal exemption for transporters identified in Title 40CFR, Section 263.14. Romic Environmental Technologies Corporation is a registered hazardous waste transporter.
