Document Description
This project consists of adoption of a smoke management program to reduce and manage the impacts of the air quality emissions associated with the burning of agricultural and/or silvicultural materials either collected and burned in the field or burned in-site. This project is in response to new California Air Resources Board requirements and is intened to benefit the general public by reducing the number and/or duration of impacts on air quality from air emissions caused by agricultural and prescribed burning and the resulting degradation in air quality that may occur. The smoke management program would be adopted along with revisions to the Grear Basin Unified Air Pollution Control District's regulations for open outdoor fires to comply with agricultural burning requirements in Title 17 of the California Code of Regulations (effective March 14, 2001)
