Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), in coordination with the San Mateo County Transportation Authority (SMCTA), is proposing to widen shoulders and correct curves for a Section of State Route 92 in San Mateo County, California. The purpose of the project is to improve safety and operations, reduce accidents and other vehicle incidents, reduce congestion, and provide improved emergency vehicle access. The project area would extend from the city limits of the City of Half Moon Bay to east of the Pilarcitos Creek Bridge and include replacement of the existing bridge with a clear span bridge. The project would widen the existing pavement to provide two standard width lanes and shoulders. Radii of horizontal curves would be increased and vertical curves would be adjusted.
