The project area currently consists of an existing drainage pond, drainage improvements, and land use for agricultural production. The property area is primarily zoned for agricultural uses under the City of Dixon General Plan and Solano General Plan.
Development activities and revisions to the City of Dixon General Plan in 1993 has prompted the need to provide additional drainage infrastructure in the City of Dixon. The project consists of expanding the capacity of the existing Pond A and constructing outfall improvements along the existing Lateral 1.
