San Leandro General Plan Update

The proposed general plan update replaces the City's existing General Plan, which was last comprehensively updated in 2002, and is intended to guide development and conservation in the city through 2035. The overall purpose of the San Leandro General Plan is to create a policy framework that articulates a vision for the City's long term physical form and development, while preserving and enhancing the quality of life for San Leandro's residents. The proposed General Plan does not include any specific development. The project also includes amendments to the Zoning Code and zoning map to bring these regulatory documents into conformance to the updated general plan.
