The applicants are requesting approval of a Zone Variance and Special Use Permit for a contractor's storage yard and trucking facility for a paving construction business, on a 1 acre parcel and a 1.03 acre portion of a 154 acre parcel in the AE-40 (Exclusive Agriculture-40 acre-minimum) Zone. The use (primarily providing road maintenance and upgrading for surrounding farmers and dairyman on their private roads) was established without benefit of permit in 1988, and this request is to bring the site into compliance and to allow for expansion which has already occured onto adjacent property. This application also includes a variance to the maximum residential parcel size requirement of the AE-40 Zone (65,000 square feet). The Variance is requested to allow the filing of a lot line adjustment such that the entire use can be contained on a single parcel of approximately 88,427 sf (2.03 acres).
