This project consists of an amendment to the Transportation Element of the Mid-City Communities Plan to reclassify 40th Street between Adams Avenue and Monroe Avenue from a 2-lane connector to a non-classified residential local street, to terminate 40th street at the intersection with Madison Avenue, and to vacate 40th Street between Madison Avenue and the southbound Interstate 15 freeway on-ramps, when feasible.
