Document Description
IRWD supplies domestic water to this hillside community. A total of three (3) domestic water pressure zones (coastal Zones 2,3, and 4) are serviced by a gravity system from Coastal Zone 4 and 6 reservoirs. Coastal Zone 4 Reservoir (876 HGL) feeds Crystal Cove's Coastal Zone 2 (471 HGL). Coastal Zone 6 Reservoir (1178 HGL) feeds Crystal Cove's Coastal Zone 3 (725 HGL) and Coastal Zone 4 (835 HGL). The Crystal Cove development will require a new Coastal Zone 2 to Coastal Zone 4 Emergency Booster Pump Station (BPS). This emergency BPS will provide a back-up water supply for Crystal Cove's upper 3 and 4 will be from the Coastal Zone 2 pressure zone. The emergency BPS will feed a 10-inch pipeline in Whaler's Bluff and Reef Point Drive that will convey water to the Crystal Cove's Zone 4. The water will then be pressure reduced through regulating stations to coastal pressure Zone 3.
