Document Description
The project involves water drafting at twelve pre-existing sites, six tanks and six spring feed ponds. Water drafting will be confined between the dates of April 1 and October 15. Sites A, B, C, and D will draft water from non fish bearing watercourses that flow into the North Fork Usal Creek. Sites E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L will draft water from nonfish bearing watercourses that flow into the South Fork Usal Creek. Water will be pumped at the identified sites into water trucks for daily timber harvest road watering activities. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF) is the Lead Agency under the CEQA review of this project, a Timber Harvest Plan (THP) 1-01-106 MEN. The plan area is located in the County of Mendocino, State of California, Sections 27, 26, 34, 36 of Township 24N, Range 18W; Sections 6, 7, 17, 18, 19 of Township 23N, Range 17W; Sections 14, 24, 25 of Township 23N, Range 18W; MDBM. The California Department of Fish and Game (Department) is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement R3-2001-0466, pursuant to Section 1603 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, Mr. Robert Ballard, Campbell Timberland Management, Inc., P.O. Box 1228, Fort Bragg, CA 95437.
