Document Description
The proposed project encompasses the seismic retrofit, related fire and life safety, and Americans with Disability Acts (ADA) upgrades to the "old" (original 1923) portion of LeConte Hall on the Berkeley campus. Construction would be limited to the interior of the old portion of LeConte Hall, except for temporary staging areas, construction trailers, and fencing temporarily located in the vicinity of the building. Construction work would begin summer of 2002 and last for a total of 19 months. Occupants and facilities in the building would be temporarily decanted to other locations during construction and returned upon project completion.
