Document Description
The operator proposes to extend an existing concrete box culvert in an unnamed tributary to Browns Valley Creek at 1477 Patrick Road, Napa, Napa County. The existing concrete box culvert is plugged with debris, causing the water to wash over and erode the road. The concrete box culvert would be cleaned of debris and a 48 inch corrugated metal pipe would be inserted through the concrete box culvert, extending the northern side approximately 6 feet and the southern side approximately 10 feet. The area would be backfilled with clean soil and the road would be reconstructed to comply with Napa County Fire regulations. The ends of the culvert would be armored with a minimum amount of loose rock riprap to prevent erosion. At the time of the site visit on July 27, 2001, the unnamed tributary was completely dry, with very little understory vegetation. One oak tree is within the project site, but will not be impacted during construction. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0680 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
