Document Description
The repairs are required to protect the integrity of the tailrace and dam of Tinemaha Reservoir. Existing cracked shotcrete and rip-rap will be removed and replaced with rip-rap and reinforced shotcrete. The outflow from the Reservoir will be reduced to approximately 40-cfs from August 18, 2001 through August 24, 2001, so this work can be accomplished in the dry season. Flows will be diverted to the center of the tailrace by the use of concrete barriers and sandbags. Sediment screens will be used to minimize sediment from entering the water. This work is being coordinated with a scheduled Los Angeles Aqueduct shutdown.
