Document Description
The operator proposes to improve rearing habitat for coho salmon and steelhead trout in a selected section of Maacama Creek, tributary to the Russian River, Sonoma County located in Township 09N, Range 08W, Section 17. Seven large wood structures (consisting of a total of 10 logs or rootwads) will be installed on Maacama Creek, within a 500 ft. section. All installations will be anchored to existing bedrock, boulders or trees, or tenched into existing gravel bars and installed with a deadman. All work shall be accomplished in the summer low flow period to minimize effects on juvenile salmonids. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2000-1112 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
