Document Description
This project consists of installing a rail car bridge over Thurston Creek and armoring the creek banks under the bridge with rock rip-rap and/or steel wing walls. Thurston Creek downstream of the project site supports a population of steelhead trout. Salmon Creek, to which Thurston Creek is tributary, supports populations of coho salmon and California freshwater shrimp. Thurston Creek at the project site, however, is above an impassible barrier waterfall and there are no fish or freshwater shrimp in the stream. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0330 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1603.
