Document Description
As part of a seismic retrofit project the Operator proposes to install eighteen 36-inch concrete piers into the bed and banks of Walnut Creek, under the Marsh Drive in Concord, Contra Costa County. Ten piers will be located on the banks, 4 piers along the flood bench, and 4 piers within the low flow channel. Steel casing will be driven into the soil, the soil removed and the casing filled with concrete. Approximately 130 linear feet, upstream and downstream of the bridge will be temporarily impacted for construction access. Issuance of a Streambed Alteration Agreement Number R3-2001-0126 pursuant to Fish and Game Code Section 1601.
