Document Description
The project is the adoption and implementation of a Redevelopment Plan for the Northgate Project Area. The Project Area comprises approximately 900 acres in the northern portion of the City of Sacramento. The Redevelopment Plan will provide the Agency with tools and resources to eliminate blighting condition through participation of owners and tenants in revitalization of their properties, promote desirable development of undeveloped or underdeveloped areas which are stagnant or improperly utilized, provide needed public infrastructure and public facilities, and facilitate creation of employment opportunities for the Northgate residents. The Redevelopment Plan will involve a number of subsequent actions over a long period of time to implement the Plan. These actions include approvals required for development of land in the private market; actions to acquire and develop properties for public uses; construction of a wide variety of public improvements, public facilities and infrastructure; approvals of agreements with owners and developers for the development of land in accordance with the Redevelopment Plan and other actions.
