Document Description
A Coastal Development Permit for the approval of nine (9) new building sites to which existing cabins can be relocated. The relocation is necessary primarily due to the retreat of the bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The timing of the cabin relocations will be dictated by changes in actual site conditions. To accommodate this uncertainty, the Coastal Development Permit is to be issued for an initial five (5) year term. Modification of the permit term after 5 years may be necessary if the subject cabins have not been moved in that time period. The parcel is approximately 28 acres and is currently developed with 76 cabins, each with its' own nearby sewage disposal system. All of the cabins are served by two wells within the Park Company property. One new cabin is proposed at this time as a replacement for one that was demolished several years ago. A Special Permit is required for Design Review which will be handled as a "blanket permit" since the appearance, size and character of the individual cabins is not expected to change due to their relocation.
