Document Description
Ordinance amendments to Title 130 (Zoning) of the El Dorado County Ordinance Code. Changes consist of the following updates to Section 130.40.130 (Communications Facilities) including but not limited to: 1) Various amendments for consistency with state and federal law, 2) Clarifications to the entitlement process for co-location of new facilities, including co-location of facilities on structures within the public right-of-way (Section 130.40.130 (D), 3) Additional development requirements for new facilities in or adjacent to residential zones, including increased building setbacks, location preference criteria, required aesthetic considerations and restrictions on outdoor lighting (Sections 130.40.130(E) and 130.40.130(F)), 4) A new permitting matrix (Table 1) to clarify ministerial and discretionary permitting procedures for different types of wireless telecommunication facilities and 5) New regulations to allow for temporary facilities in the event of natural disaster, special events or urgent need for substitute facilities to avoid loss or degradation of service (Section 130.40.1130 (D)(10).
