Document Description
The project consists of a comprehensive enhancement and environmental retrofit of Commons Beach, to improve public access opportunities while restoring and stabilizing degraded areas. This will be accompanied by: providing improved linkages to Tahoe City, including vista areas overlooking the beach; ensuring comprehensive access for the disabled; installing an areawide environmental and historic interpretive plan; improving day use amenities such as picnic facilities throughout the site; and stabilizing the area's steep, denuded slopes and eroding shoreline.
