The site is designated by the Fort Ord Reuse Plan and Fort Ord Infrastructure Master Plan for improvement of the existing 2nd Avenue/12th Street roadway, between 12th Street and Light Fighter Drive and between Highway 1 and Imjin Road, respectively, from two lanes to a four-lane, divided roadway.
Document Description
The proposed project consists of a four-lane, divided roadway along two alignments: 1) on 2nd Avenue between Light Fighter Drive and 12th Street, and 2) on 12th Street between Imjin Road and the 12th Street gate. Proposed improvements include two travel lanes on each side, a 16-foot median, bicycle lanes, sidewalks, and drainage facilities. Improvements at the intersections of Light Fighter Drive/2nd Avenue and Light Fighter Drive/North-South Road are also proposed. The project involves removal of 23 buildings in the alignment.
