Document Description
California Department of Fish and Game is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1601 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant, City of San Diego Water and Wastewater Facilities Division. The applicant proposes to alter the streambed to replace a total of 14 feet of exposed 12 inch PVC sewer pipe with a new ductile iron main. No trenching or heavy equipment will be required for the repair. Hand labor will be used to replace the pipe and to build two small concrete piers that will support the exposed ductile iron main. A small amount of rip-rap (12 square feet) will be installed in the channel near the pipe to stabilize the pier. Coastal sage scrub is the opnly upland native vegetation community on-site. The intermittent stream is considered waters of the State and contains a small amount of willow scrub vegetation. The project is located in a canyon west of Comstock Street and north of Manning Street in the community of Linda Vista, City of San Diego, in San Diego County.
