Document Description
The project is beach replenishment using up to 100,000 cubic yards of sand mined from a relic river bed deposit in the high desert. The Holliday Rock quarry operates a sand and gravel mining operation in Littlerock (near Palmdale), which will supply the sand. The sand will be shipped by train from Littlerock to the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station.
